Fingerprints, dirt, dust, scratches or deposits of cigarette smoke on the recording surface may make it impossible to use the disc for playback. Discs with PAL programs recorded on them cannot be played using this player. This player is compatible with the NTSC color system only. When a BD-J title is played, loading may take longer than a normal title, or some functions may perform slowly.
Getting Started DVD+R • This player can play back a DVD+R disc recorded and finalized with a DVD Video recorder. Ability to play back may depend on recording conditions. Audio CD (CD-DA) • This player can play back CD-DA format audio CD-RW/-R discs. • The player may not be able to play some CD-RW/-R discs due to the condition of the recording. CD-RW/-R • Use a 700MB (80 minute) CD-RW/-R disc. If possible, do not use a 800MB (90 minute) or above disc, as the disc may not play back.

Dynamic Range Control You can listen at low volumes but still hear dialog clearly. This is only active when the player detects a Dolby Digital signal. • Auto : The Dynamic Range Control is set automatically based on the information provided by the Dolby TrueHD Soundtrack. • On : When Movie soundtracks are played at low volume or from smaller speakers, the system can apply appropriate compression to make low-level content more intelligible and prevent dramatic passages from getting too loud.

Setup Energy Saving You can reduce power consumption by setting the front panel to turn off automatically when there is no operation for 5 seconds. • On : The front panel automatically turns off when there is no operation for 5 seconds. • Off : Energy Saving function is off. Front Display Change the brightness of the front panel. • Auto : Dim during playback. • Dim : Dim the display window. • Bright : Brighten the display window.

Network Services Reset Resets Internet@TV to the factory default settings, removes all downloaded applications and services, erases all user settings, and then automatically begins the start-up procedure. ✎ NOTE ▪ If you forgot your password, press the STOP ( ) button on the front panel of the product for more than 5 seconds with no disc inserted. Don’t use this unless absolutely necessary. Works the same as Reset.

On the Service Manager screen, use the ▲▼ buttons to select an application or service. 3. Use the ◄► buttons to select Lock/Unlock, and then press the ENTER button.

Network Services BD-LIVE™ Once the player is connected to the network, you can enjoy various movie-related service contents using a BD-LIVE compliant disc. 1. Attach a USB memory stick to the USB jack on the front of the player, and then check its remaining memory. The memory device must have at least 1GB of free space to accommodate the BD-LIVE services. 2. Insert a Blu-ray disc that supports BD-LIVE. 3. Select an item from various BD-LIVE service contents provided by the disc manufacturer.
