Chapter 2. Installing Basic KSU and
Expansion Cabinet
2.1 System Capacity
The DCS Compact II system can have up to 40 stations. There is no limit to the
number of analogue C.O. lines, single line telephones(SLTs) and ISDN C.O. lines
if enough slots are available. A PRI card is inserted into the PRI slot in the
Expansion Cabinet. Some configuration examples are shown in the table below.

In this table, 4BRI (4S0T0) is used as digital trunk.
4BRI (4S0T0) card can be used as ISDN NT. Each port can have up to eight
ISDN TEs(see Chapter 5 for details), but the power consumption of each port
is limited to 4 watts.
