12.1 INSTALLING ON A SYSTEM WITH A MISC CARD
The first step in upgrading an existing system that already has a MISC card installed in
it is using Release 1 CPCMMC to produce a backup copy of the customer database.
Please see Part 5–1 of the CPCMMC Section of this manual for procedures on
accomplishing this.
The second step is to power the system down and replace the software as described in
part 9 of the installation section of this manual.
The third step is to convert the database created in step 1 using the CONVERDB.EXE
utility included with the Release 2 PCMMC.
The fourth step is to upload the converted database to the system and verify correct
operation.
12.2 INSTALLING ON A SYSTEM WITHOUT A MISC
CARD
The first step in upgrading an existing system that did not already have a MISC card
installed in it is powering the system down and installing a MISC card by inserting it in
its slot and pressing firmly on the two ejectors. Switch the system back on. MMC 806
should now be used to make the system recognize that the card has been installed. If
desired, the MISC card can be fully installed by assigning directory numbers to the
page zone relays and second MOH port using MMC 724 as described in part 11 of the
installation section.
The second step is using Release 1 CPCMMC to produce a backup copy of the
customer database. Please see Part 5–1 of the CPCMMC Section of this manual for
procedures on accomplishing this.
