Display
Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the screen.
(Auto*, Dark, Normal, Bright)
Normal is xed in Playback mode even if you have selected
Auto.
Quick View
Set whether or not to review a captured image before
returning to the Shooting mode. (O, On*)
This feature does not work in some modes.
Auto Display O
If you perform no operations for 30 seconds, the camera screen
turns o automatically and the status lamp blinks. (O*, On)
• When the screen turns o automatically, press any button
other than [
X ] to resume using the camera.
• Even if you do not set this function, the screen will dim
60 seconds after the last operation to save power.

Format
Format the memory. Formatting will delete all les, including
protected les. (Yes , No)
Errors can occur if you use a memory card formatted by
another brand of camera, a memory card reader, or a
computer. Please format memory cards in the camera before
using them to capture photos.
Reset
Reset menus and shooting options. Date, times, and language
settings will not be reset. (Yes, No)
Language
Set a language for the display text.
Time Zone
Set the time zone for your location. When you travel to another
country, select the appropriate time zone.
Date/Time Set
Set the date and time.
Date Type
Set a date format.
(Y YYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY)
The default date type may dier depending on the language
selected.
