Starting Smart Remote

Tap Smart Remote on the All apps screen.

Tap Start, enter your postal code and tap Done .

Select your service provider.

To set up your remote control, tap OK.

Select the TV brand and tap Next.
To connect the device to a projector and use the device as a remote control, tap
I have a
projector
.

Ensure that the device’s infrared port is facing the TV and tap Button 1 . Then, tap Yes if
the device turns on the TV.
If the device does not turn on the TV, tap
No, Button 2 , and then repeat this until the TV
recognizes the signal.

If you have a Cable/Satellite box, select the brand and follow the test procedure in
step 6 until the box recognizes the signal.
If you don’t have a Cable/Satellite box, select I don’t have Cable/Satellite box, then tap
Next.
Using the device as a remote control
You can turn the TV on or off, browse channels, or adjust the volume level on the TV using the
device as a remote control.

Tap Smart Remote on the All apps screen.

Select a category at the top of the screen.

Face the device’s infrared port to the TV, select a TV program, and then tap WATCH ON
TV
.
The selected program will be shown on the connected TV.
