Email Settings
Use settings to configure handling of your email.
Note: Available settings depend on the email provider.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps
g
Email.
2. Tap Menu for these options:
● Sort by: Select the criteria the order in which your messages are listed.
● View as: List your messages in Standard view or in Conversation view .
● New meeting invitation (Microsoft Exchange accounts only): Send a meeting invitation message. For more
information, refer to “Calendar” on page 24.
● Create folder: Create a new folder for organizing emails.
● Documents (Microsoft Exchange accounts only): Enter Windows SharePoint Services or Windows file
address to access documents.
● Font size: Choose the desired text font size for your messages.
● Delete all: Delete all messages in the displayed folder.
● Settings - General Settings:
— Display: Set how emails are shown in the email list and when you open them.
— Composing and sending: Set what functions are available while composing and sending emails.
— Auto advance: Show the email list after an email has been deleted, moved, etc.
— Confirm deletions: Ask for confirmation before deleting email.
— Priority senders: Manage your priority senders.
— Spam addresses: Edit the list of senders and domain names reported as sources of spam.
— Rules for filtering: Set email filtering rules and manage filtered email in combined view.
● Settings - Account Settings:
— Tap an account to configure its settings. Available options depend on the account.
Deleting Email Accounts
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Tap Menu

Delete account.
3. Select email account(s) for deletion, then tap Delete.
Gmail
Send and receive emails using Gmail, Google’s web‑based email.

Setting Up Your Gmail Account
The first time you launch Gmail, your device will prompt you to set up your Google account, if you haven’t already
set it up. If you set up your Google account on your device, Gmail is set up automatically
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Follow the prompts to sign in, or create a new account.
3. The device communicates with the Google server to set up your account and synchronize your email.
Note: You can use more than one Google account on your device. To add another account, from the Home
screen, tap Menu

Composing and Sending Gmail
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

Gmail.
2. Touch Compose, then touch fields to compose the message. While composing, tap Menu for
options.
3. To send the message, tap SEND.
Refreshing Your Gmail Account
Syncing refreshes your device with the account’s servers. When you set up an email account, you can choose
whether the account syncs in the background, or manually.
