Advanced Camera Settings
Use Advanced settings to configure default options for pictures and videos.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

Camera.
2. From the Camera screen, tap
g
and then select an available tab to choose a setting:
Photos
Photo size: Choose the default size for pictures.
Burst shot: Touch and hold the camera button to take a rapid series of photos.
Tap to take pics: Tap the screen to focus the camera and take a picture.
Face detection: Set the camera to automatically adjust settings for taking pictures of faces.
Metering modes: Set how the camera measures the light source.
ISO: Set the sensitivity of the camera's light meter.
Smart stabilization: Allow the camera to compensate for movement of the device when taking pictures.
Save as: Select how your device should handle saving richtonephotossave both the Rich tone photo
and the originalphoto, or save only the Rich tone photo. This option is only accessible when you have
selected Rich tone (HDR) from the camera modes.
Videos
Video size: Choose the default size for videos.
Video stabilization: Allow the camera to compensate for movement of the device when recording video.
General Settings
Location tag: Store GPS location information in picture files.
Review pics/videos: Set pictures to display briefly after you take them so you can review them.
Volume key: Choose a function for the Volume Key while using the Camera: as a The zoom key, The
camera key, or The record key).
Timer: Set a timer to delay the taking of pictures or recording.
White balance: Choose a setting for current light conditions.
Exposure value: Adjust the brightness of pictures.
Guidelines: Display guidelines on the screen to aid in composition.
Flash: Choose a flash setting.
Voice control: Take pictures or record videos by speaking commands. For more information, see
VoiceControl.
Contextual filename: Add GPS information to filenames. GPStag must be enabled to use contextual
filenames.
Save as flipped: Reverse, or mirror, the photo when saving (front camera only).
Storage: Assign the default storage location. If you have an optional memory card installed (not
included), you can choose whether to save files to device memory or to the memory card.
Shutter sound: Activate/deactivate the shutter sound.
Reset: Return settings to the factory defaults.
Chrome
Use Google Chrome to browse the web.
From a Home screen, tap Apps

Connect Me
This applciation provides access to the Mobile Internet Management system that allows you to easily do any of
the following: apply refills, apply data passes, check the remaining data on your existing pass, and manage your
account.
If you previously managed your Mobile Internet account via the My T‑Mobile application, Mobile Internet
Management improves your experience by allowing you take advantage of new and recurring plans, unlimited data
with no overages, and on‑demand data passes. If you pay in advance for your T‑Mobile service, you’ll need your
account PIN and phone number. Otherwise, you’ll need to provide information for the Primary Account Holder on
the account.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Select a connection application.
3. Enter your mobile number and follow the on‑screen instructions.
Contacts
The default storage location for saving tablet numbers to your Contacts List is your tablet’s built‑in memory.
For more information, refer to “Contacts” on page 18.

Downloads
View and manage files downloaded to your tablet.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Tap an item to open it (if an appropriate application is installed.)
Note: Applications you download in Google Play Store are managed in Play Store, and will not appear in
Downloads.
Dropbox
Works to provide access to your desktop files directly from your device. This applications allows you to bring your
files with you when you’re on the go, edit files in your Dropbox from your device, upload photos and videos to
Dropbox, and share your selected files freely with family and friends.
The in‑device application works in conjunction with a partner program placed on a target computer using an active
Internet connection.
Dropbox creates a folder that automatically synchronizes its contents across all of your connected devices on your
account. Update a file to your Dropbox on your computer, and its automatically updated to the same folder on your
other devices.
Download the Desktop application
1. Use your computer’s browser to navigate to: http://www.dropbox.com.
2. Follow the on‑screen setup and installation instructions on your target computer containing the desired
files.
Important! The computer application must be installed on the computer containing the desired files. This
computer must have an active Internet connection.
Note: It might be necessary to configure your router’s firewall settings to allow this application to gain access to
the Internet.
