View Mobile Data Usage
1. Tap the Data usage cycle drop‑down menu and select a time period.
A chart displays the total mobile data usage during that time period, followed by a breakdown of data
usage by each application.
2. Set data usage limits:
● Touch and drag the red limit bar to set the maximum data limit. When data usage reaches this limit, mobile
data will bedisabled.
Warning! When disabled, you will not be able to use the Internet, sync email, or use any app that requres a data
connection unless you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
● Touch and drag the orange warning bar to set a warning level. You will be notified when data usage reaches
thislevel.
● Touch and drag the two white bars to adjust the time period.
● Tap an application to view its data usage.
● Tap Restrict background data to force the application to sync background data only when connected to a
Wi‑Finetwork.
3. Tap Menu for options:
● Data roaming: Allow your tablet to use mobile data when roaming. Additional charges may apply. See your
service plan for details.
● Restrict background data: Prevent the tablet from connecting to the mobile data network in the background
for synchronization or other services.
● Auto sync data: Synchronize with accounts automatically, at any time.
● Show Wi-Fi usage: Display data usage while connected to Wi‑Fi.
● Mobile hotspots: Select Wi‑Fi networks that are mobile hotspots. You can restrict apps from using these
networks, and you can configure apps to warn you before using these networks for large downloads.
Location
The Location functions allows you to configure the device’s location services, accuracy, and tag locations.
Important! The more location determining functions are enabled, the more accurate the determination will be of
your position.

2. The menu is separated into various sections:
● Mode: Allows you to choose a location mode. each mode enables different technologies and affects both
the accuracy of the location and battery usage.
● Recent location requests: Sisplays services that have recently requested your location information.
● Location services: Allows you to configure your Google locations services and add new ones.
Location Method
Selecting a location mode can automatically configure your device to provide different levels of location accuracy.

2. Choose from either High accuracy, Power saving (blends accuracy with battery life), or GPS only.
Adding location services
The Location services area of the menu display those currently active locations services.

2. Tap the Location services field and follow the on‑screen instructions to manage a location application.
Enabling My Places
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Tap My places to enable the storage of your favorite locations.
● My places: Allows you to add location information for your Home, Office, and Car.
More Networks
Access additional options for configuring connections between your tablet and other devices.
Default messaging app
With the available of several different messaging applications available from within the Play Store, it can be difficult
to choose a default messaging application for new outgoing messages. This feature allows you to select a default
messaging application.
To assign a default messaging application:
1. From the More networks page, tap the Default messaging app field.
2. Select from a list of currently available messaging applications.
Printing
Allows you to select a printing service (ex: Samsung Print Service), and then connect to a compatible wireless
printer.

2. Tap the Printing field and select from a list of currently available print services.
3. Follow the on‑screen prompts to connect to a wirelessly compatible printer.
Mobile Networks
Set options for network selection and data service.
Important! Depending on your service plan, changes you make to mobile networks settings may incur
extracharges. Consult your service provider formore information.

Allows you to activate mobile data usage on your device.

Data roaming
Data roaming allows you to connect to your service provider’s partner networks and access data services when
you are out of your service providers area of coverage.

2. Tap Data roaming to connect to data services while roaming outside your network.

Tap Data roaming again to remove the green check mark and deactivate the feature.
