Screen Mirroring
Use the Screen Mirroring feature to share media files on your tablet with an HDMI device, such as an HDMI TV.
Note: This feature requires an optional AllShare Cast dongle accessory (not included).
1. Connect the AllShare Cast dongle to the HDMI device using an HDMI A‑to‑A cable.
2. From a Home screen, tap Apps

Connections tab.
3. Locate the Screen Mirroring field and tap OFF/ON to activate the feature.
4. Your tablet will scan for available devices.
5. Tap a device, and follow the onscreen instructions.

Sound
Configure settings for your tablet’s audio.
► From a Home screen, tap Apps

Volume
Set the system volume level, and set default volume for notifications and media playback.
Note: You can also set System volume from a Home screen by pressing the Volume Key.

2. Tap Volume, then touch and drag the sliders for:
● Music, video, games, and other media: Set the default volume level for audio playback. You can also adjust
volume from this default inside the apps.
● Notifications: Set the volume for notifications, such as new messages and event reminders.
● System: Set the volume for all other system sounds, such as keytones played for screen touches. You can
control whether tones play for screen touches with other sound settings.
Vibration Intensity
This feature sets the level for vibration to accompany notifications and Haptic feedback
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Tap Vibration intensity, then touch and drag the sliders for:
● Notifications: Set the vibration intensity level for notifications.
● Haptic feedback: Set the vibration intensity level for haptic feedback.
Default Notification Sound
Choose a default sound to play for notifications, such as for new messages and event reminders.

2. Tap a sound to select it. As you select a sound, a sample plays.
Touch Sounds
Play tones when you make selections on thescreen.

2. Tap Touch sounds to turn the option on.
Screen Lock Sound
Play tones when you touch the screen to lock or unlock it.

Haptic Feedback
Vibrate when softkeys are pressed and on certain UI interactions.

2. Tap Haptic feedback to turn the option on.
Pen Attach / Detach Sound
Set the sound that is made when the pen is attached or detached from your tablet.

2. Tap Pen attach / detach sound and select a sound.
Samsung Applications
These menu options provide a shortcut to the sound configuration screens for the listed applications.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Tap an available on‑screen application to be taken directly to its sound menu screen.
3. Make adjustments to the application’s sound parameters as needed.
Samsung Keyboard
These options are used when you use the on‑screen keypad.

2. Tap Sound when tapped to activate a tone when you use on‑screen keys. A check mark displayed next to this
features indicates active status.
3. Tap Vibrate when tapped to activate the a vibration when you press on‑screen keys. A check mark
displayed next to the feature indicates this feature is active.
HDMI Audio Output
Set the HDMI (High‑Definition Multimedia Interface) audio setting.
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps

2. Tap Audio output and select Stereo or Surround.
Adapt Sound
Find the best sound for you during calls and media playback.
Note: This setting uses earphones to ensure the best sound during setup. You must connect optional
earphones (notincluded) to the tablet to configure this setting.

3. Tap Start, and then follow the prompts.
