Unknown Sources
Allow applications from sources other than the
Google Play Store to be installed on the tablet.
1. From a Home screen, touch
Apps ➔ Settings .
2. Touch
Security ➔ Unknown sources to turn the
option on.

software not provided by or supported by Google or
any other company, end-users operate these devices
at their own risk.
Verify Apps
Block or display a warning before installing apps that might
cause harm to the tablet.

Apps ➔ Settings .
2. Touch
Security ➔ Verify apps to turn the option on.
Change Security Level
Allows you to change the current security level so that
threats that meet the selected criteria are blocked.
1. From a Home screen, touch
Apps ➔ Settings .
2. Touch
Security ➔ Change security level and select
an available option:
•High : Block all unauthenticated actions.
•Normal : Block only explicit threats.
Security Update Service
To set security update service settings:
1. From a Home screen, touch
Apps ➔ Settings ➔
Security .
2. Touch
Security policy updates for these options:
• Automatic updates : Automatically check for changes to the
security policy and download any updates to improve security.
• Preferred networks : Set whether to use Wi-Fi or mobile
networks or Wi-Fi networks only.
• Check for updates : Check for updates manually.
3. Touch Send security reports to send security reports to
Samsung via Wi-Fi for threat analysis.
