Navigation Options
When the map displays, press and select from the
following options:
•Search : speak or type a destination, place, or service in which to
search.
• Route Info : displays a view of the starting and destination points
and is accompanied by distance in miles for approximate driving
time in minutes.
•Layers : additional items display on the map that include: Traffic
view, Satellite view, Parking, Gas stations, ATMs & Banks, and
Restaurants.
•Mute : mutes or unmutes your navigation tones.
• Exit Navigation : exits the Navigation application.
•More :
– Directions List : displays directions to the most recent destination.
– Set Destination : displays the Choose Destination screen so you can
speak or type your destination.
– Help : displays the Google Mobile Help web page.
– Terms, Privacy & Notices : displays Terms and Conditions for Google
mobile products, the Google Privacy Policy, and Google legal notices.
Places
Google Places displays company logos on a layer of Google
Maps. When viewing an area you can quickly locate a business
or person, find out more information about the business, see
coupons, public responses, and more.
1. From the Home screen, touch ➔ Places , then after
reading What’s new in Maps? , tap OK .
2. Locate and tap one of the listed places (restaurant, coffee,
bars, hotels, attractions, ATMs, gas stations, or add your
own place.)
A list of places displays.
Settings
This icon navigates to the sound and tablet settings for your
tablet. It includes such settings as: display, security, memory, and
any extra settings associated with your tablet.
