Rotating the screen
Many applications allow display in either portrait or landscape orientation. Rotating the
device causes the display to automatically adjust to fit the new screen orientation.
To use this feature, flick from the right edge of the screen towards the middle of the screen to
use the charms, and then tap

→

Some applications do not allow screen rotation.

Some applications display a different screen depending on the orientation.
Start screen
The Start screen is the starting point to access all of the device’s features.
Rearranging items
Adding an application tile
On the Start screen, flick upwards from the bottom edge or flick downwards from the top
edge of the screen to open the options bar, and then tap
All apps . Flick up or down on an
application icon to open the options bar, and then tap
Pin to Start .
