Entering Text using Abc/ABC/
abc Mode
With standard text entry mode, press the
key for each letter multiple times, equal
to the letter’s position on the key.
Standard text entry modes include:
• Abc
: Initial case. The first letter of the first
word is capitalized, then the mode defaults
to abc.
• ABC
: Upper case. All letters are capitalized.
• abc
: Lower case. All letters are lower case.
Tip:
To change case while entering text,
press briefly.
Press to enter spaces between
words.
With the text entry mode set to
Abc
,
follow this example to enter the English
word “Hello”:
1.
Press twice to enter “H”. The
text entry mode automatically
defaults to
abc
.
2.
Press twice to enter “e”.
3.
Press three times to enter “l”.
4.
Wait a moment for the cursor to
move to the next position. Press
three times to enter the
second “l”.
5.
Press three times to enter “o”.
