SETUP
If you are instaling the system for the first time, NO MEASURED DATA will appear on the display when you
press the ASC button while the ASC Microphone is not connected.
During the Auto Sound Calibration setup, the speaker tone's output volume is fixed. You cannot use the volume
buttons to adjust the output level.
If you remove the ASC Microphone during ASC setup, the setting will be cancelled.
Note
If the system is installed at a location where sound cannot
be reflected (e.g., an open space without walls), the speaker
distance, channel level and rear sound reflection effect may
be set incorrectly during the ASC setup.
Caution
To select the ASC that you have set
Briefly press the ASC button.
(If you have set ASC for the first time according to Steps 1
to 3 on the previous page)
Selection will toggle between ASC ON and ASC OFF on
the display.
Select ASC ON to listen using the ASC setting, and
select ASC OFF to listen to the disc currently being
played in its original setting.
To enable or disable the sound logo
When you turn on the power, a sound logo will be heard,
indicating that the disc
reading is complete and the player is
in its optimal condition to play the disc.

Press and hold the ASC button.
S.LOGO ON or S.LOGO OFF appears on the display
2. Briefly press the ASC button.
Each time you press this button, S.LOGO ON and
S.LOGO OFF selections will be toggled.
Select S.LOGO ON to output the sound logo and
select S.LOGO OFF to disable the sound logo.
To check ASC that you have set
1.
Press and hold the ASC button twice.
ASC CHECK appears on the display.
2. Next, briefly press the ASC button.
The speaker distance setting and level value for each
channel will be displayed.
To cancel the ASC setup
Press the ASC button.
The tone ouput stops, CANCEL appears on the
display followed by REMOVE MIC and then the setup
will be cancelled.
Auto Sound Calibration
By setting the ASC function just once, the speaker distance, channel level and rear sound reflection
effect are automatically set and create an optimal listening environment.
This function works only in DVD/CD function.
If you install the speaker as the RRSS speaker, make sure to install the rear speaker toward the side
wall so that rear speaker sounds of the front/rear speaker (left/right) are reflected against the wall.

Connect the ASC

It takes about 3~4 minutes to
complete the ASC setup.

MIC appears on the
display, disconnect
the ASC microphone.
