03 CONNECTING THE SOUNDBAR Connecting Electrical Power Use the power components to connect the Subwoofer and Soundbar to an electrical outlet in the following order: 1. Connect the power cord to the Subwoofer. 2. Connect the power output cable to the power adapter, and then to the Soundbar. 3. Connect the power cord to a wall socket. See the illustrations below. •• For more information about the required electrical power and power consumption, refer to the label attached to the product.
Connecting the Soundbar to the Subwoofer When the subwoofer is connected, you can enjoy rich bass sound. Automatic connection between the Subwoofer and the Soundbar When you turn the power on after connecting the power cables to the Soundbar and subwoofer, the subwoofer is automatically connected to the Soundbar. •• When auto pairing is complete, the blue indicators at the rear of the subwoofer turn on.
Manually connecting the Subwoofer if automatic connection fails Before performing the manual connection procedure below: •• Check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly. •• Make sure that the Soundbar is turned on. 1. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. •• The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. 5 Sec Rear of Subwoofer 2.

04 CONNECTING TO YOUR TV Hear TV sound from your Soundbar through wired or wireless connections. •• When the Soundbar is connected to selected Samsung TVs, the Soundbar can be controlled using the TV’s remote control. –– This feature is supported by 2017 and later Samsung Smart TVs that support Bluetooth when you connect the Soundbar to the TV using an optical cable. –– This function also allows you to use the TV menu to adjust the sound field and various settings as well as the volume and mute. Method 1.
•• If TV sound is inaudible, press the (Source) button on the remote control or on the top of the Soundbar to switch to “D.IN” mode. The screen displays “D.IN” and “TV ARC” in sequence, and TV sound is played. •• If “TV ARC” does not appear in the display window of the Soundbar main unit, confirm that the HDMI cable is connected to the correct port. •• Use the volume buttons on the TV’s remote control to change the volume on the Soundbar.
Using the Q-Symphony Function For Q-Symphony, the Soundbar syncs with a Samsung TV to output sound through two devices for optimum surround effect. When the Soundbar is connected, the menu, “TV+Soundbar” appears under the Sound Output menu of the TV. Select the corresponding menu. Method 2. Connecting Wirelessly Connecting a TV via Bluetooth When a TV is connected using Bluetooth, you can hear stereo sound without the hassle of cabling. •• Only one TV can be connected at a time. 05 CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL DEVICE Connect to an external device via a wired connection or Bluetooth connection to play the external device’s sound through the Soundbar. Disconnecting the Bluetooth device from a Soundbar You can disconnect a Bluetooth device from the Soundbar. For instructions, see the Bluetooth device’s user manual. •• The Soundbar will be disconnected. •• When the Soundbar is disconnected from the Bluetooth device, the Soundbar will display “BT DISCONNECTED” on the front display. Disconnecting the Soundbar from the Bluetooth device Press the (Source) button on the top panel or on the remote control, and then change to any mode except “BT”.

Press and hold the SOUND MODE button while the Soundbar is powered off to turn DRC (Dynamic Range Control) on or off. With the DRC turned on, loud sound is reduced. (The sound may be distorted.) •• Bluetooth Power This feature automatically turns the Soundbar on when it receives a connection request from a previously connected TV or Bluetooth device. The setting is On by default.
•• Volume Restriction function To protect your hearing, the Volume Restriction function restricts the volume to 20 if you turn on the Soundbar when the volume is set higher than 20. –– The default value for the Volume Restriction function is Off. You must turn it on to activate it. –– When turned on, the Volume Restriction function stays on even when the power is turned off. –– To turn Volume Restriction on or off, press and hold the Down button on the remote control for 5 seconds.

03 BRANCHEMENT DU SOUNDBAR Branchement de l’alimentation Utilisez les composants d’alimentation afin de brancher le caisson de basses et le Soundbar dans une prise électrique dans l’ordre suivant : 1. Raccordez le cordon d’alimentation au caisson de basses. 2. Branchez le câble d’alimentation de sortie dans l’adaptateur d’alimentation puis dans le Soundbar. 3. Raccordez le cordon d'alimentation à une prise murale. Reportez-vous aux illustrations ci-dessous.
Raccordement du Soundbar au caisson de basses Une fois le caisson des basses raccordé, profitez de basses exceptionnelles. Raccordement automatique du caisson des basses et du Soundbar Lorsque vous allumez le produit après avoir branché les câbles d’alimentation sur le Soundbar et le caisson des basses, ce dernier est automatiquement raccordé au Soundbar. •• Une fois l’appariement automatique terminé, les voyants bleus à l’arrière du caisson des basses s’allument.
Connexion manuelle du caisson des basses en cas d’échec de la connexion automatique Avant d’effectuer la procédure de connexion manuelle ci-dessous : •• Vérifiez que les câbles d’alimentation sont correctement branchés sur le Soundbar et le caisson des basses. •• Assurez-vous que le Soundbar est allumé. 1. 04 BRANCHEMENT À VOTRE TÉLÉVISEUR Diffusez le son de votre téléviseur par le Soundbar à l’aide de connexion filaires ou sans fil. •• Lorsque le Soundbar est connecté à un téléviseur Samsung sélectionné, il peut être contrôlé à l’aide de la télécommande du téléviseur. –– Cette fonction est prise en charge par les téléviseurs Samsung Smart sortis en 2017 ou après et qui prennent en charge le Bluetooth lors de la connexion du Soundbar au téléviseur à l’aide d’un câble optique.
•• Si le son du téléviseur est inaudible, appuyez sur le bouton (Source) de la télécommande ou sur le dessus du Soundbar pour basculer en mode «D.IN». L’écran affiche à la suite «D.IN» et «TV ARC», et le son du téléviseur est diffusé. •• Si l’option «TV ARC» ne s’affiche pas sur l’écran du Soundbar, vérifiez que le câble HDMI est connecté au bon port. •• Utilisez les boutons de volume de la télécommande du téléviseur pour régler le volume du Soundbar.
Utilisation de la fonction Q-Symphony Pour utiliser la fonction Q-Symphony, le Soundbar se synchronise avec un téléviseur Samsung afin de restituer le son via deux appareils pour un effet ambiophonique optimal. 11 MISE À JOUR LOGICIELLE Procédure de mise à jour Il se peut que Samsung propose ultérieurement des mises à jour pour le micrologiciel du système du Soundbar. Important : la fonction de mise à jour efface tous les paramètres utilisateur. Nous vous recommandons de noter vos paramètres afin de pouvoir les redéfinir facilement après la mise à jour. Notez que la mise à jour du logiciel réinitialise également la connexion au caisson de basses. 1. Connectez une clé USB au port USB de votre ordinateur.
Si UPDATE ne s’affiche pas 1. Éteignez le Soundbar, débranchez le périphérique de stockage qui contient les fichiers de mise à jour du port USB du Soundbar, puis rebranchez-le. 2. Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation du Soundbar, rebranchez-le, puis allumez le Soundbar. REMARQUES •• La mise à jour du micrologiciel peut ne pas fonctionner correctement si les fichiers audio pris en charge par le Soundbar sont stockés dans le périphérique de stockage.
