Camera Options
Configure the camera.

While in Camera mode, touch the
Options
tab to configure:
•
Shooting mode
: Choose an automatic shooting mode, from:
–
Single Shot
: Take a single photo.
–
Smile shot
: Touch the Camera button to automatically focus on the
subject’s face and take the picture.
–
Continuous
: Touch and hold the Camera button to take 9 consecutive
pictures.
–
Panorama
: Touch the Camera button to take a picture, then use the
on-screen guideline to move the viewfinder and take the next 7 shots
automatically to create a panorama.
–
Action shot
: Detects action to automatically take multiple pictures.
–
Cartoon
: Apply a cartoon effect to pictures.

; Choose a scene mode:

None
: Deactivates Scene mode.
–
Portrait
: Take pictures of people.
–
Landscape
: Take pictures of distant scenery.
–
Night
: Take pictures of distant scenery in low light.
–
Sports
: Take pictures of fast moving subject(s).
–
Party/Indoor
: Take pictures of interior scenes.
–
Beach/Snow
: Take pictures of brightly lit scenery.
–
Sunset
: Take pictures in the afternoon or evening.
–
Dawn
: Take pictures at daybreak.
–
Fall colour
: Take pictures that emphasize reds and yellows.
–
Firework
: Take pictures of brief flame.
–
Text
: Take pictures of documents, posters, etc.
–
Candlelight
: Take pictures lit by candles.
–
Backlight
: Take pictures of back lit subject(s).

Brightness
: Choose an exposure value.

: Choose a type of automatic focus.

Timer
: Set a delay before taking a picture.

Resolution
: Choose a size for the image.

White balance
: Choose a setting for the light source.

Effects
: Apply an effect to pictures.

Metering
: Select a method for measuring light.
–
Image quality
: Choose a quality setting for photos.
–
Adjust
: Set Contrast, Saturation, and Sharpness.

Guidelines
: Enable or disable an on-screen grid to aid in photo
composition.
–
Review
: Enable or disable the instant review feature, to display images
immediately after capture.
–
Shutter sound
: Select a tone to play when the camera’s shutter opens
and closes.

Reset
: Set all Camera settings to the defaults.
