If the ame is extinguished, increase the low ame setting and repeat the test
until the ame is stable.
2. Turn the knob from HI to the lowest setting quickly. If the ame goes out at the
lowest setting, increase the low ame setting and repeat the test until the ame
is stable.
Adjusting low ame setting on cooktop burners
All Cooktop burner ames should be checked at their lowest setting. Use the
following steps to check and adjust the cooktop burner settings.
NOTES
Low setting adjustments should always be made with two or more burners
operating at the same time.
Call for service when you need to adjust the inner ame of the cooktop center
burner settings.
1. Turn on two or more cooktop burners and set them between MED and HI.
2. Quickly turn one of the control knobs counterclockwise to the lowest setting.
The ame should stay lit. If the ame utters or goes out, adjust the bypass
valve on the control valve for that burner.
3. Pull the control knob for that burner straight off.
4. Using a small at-bladed screwdriver, adjust the bypass valve screw in the base
of the valve stem. Turn the bypass valve screw counter clockwise to increase
the ame size.
