1. To use the Power boost setting, turn the
control knob directly to the "9/Boost"
setting.
2. The digital display will show " ".
• The power boost function makes
additional power available to the
induction cooking zone when you
need it.
Example: To bring a large volume
of water to a boil.
• The power boost function is
activated for a maximum of 10
minutes for each cooking zone.
After Power Boost is nished, the
cooking zones automatically return
to power level " ".
NOTE
• If you turn the control knob to "9/Boost" from another power level, the
Induction cooking zone will operate at power level "
". (You cannot set
Boost " ", if you rotate the knob to the left.)
• In certain circumstances, the Power boost function may be deactivated
automatically to protect the internal electronic components of the
induction element.

1. To use the Simmer setting, turn the
control knob to 1.
2. The digital display will show " ".
• Use Simmer to simmer and keep
large quantities of foods such as
stews and soup warm.
• The simmer setting of the small
cooking zone is ideal for delicate
foods and melting chocolate.
Virtual Flame
TM
technology
Virtual Flame
TM
technology creates the
appearance of ames when you turn on an
induction element.
• If the Virtual Flame
TM
option is set to On, virtual ames appear when you turn
an induction control knob to an On position.
• The virtual ame may look different depending on the appearance, size, or
position of the cookware. (For the best results, use cookware that matches the
element size. Cookware that is too large can cover the virtual ame. Cookware
that is too small can cause the virtual ame to be ill-formed.)
• Impurities on the cookware bottom or the cooktop surface can cause the
virtual ame to be ill-formed or incomplete. Clean up the cookware or the
cooktop surface before using them.
• To turn off the virtual ames, set the Virtual Flame
TM
option to Off. If the
virtual ame function does not operate, check if the Virtual Flame
TM
option has
been turned off. (See the "System settings" on page 53.)
