Using both DHCP and a xed IP
simultaneously
Using the Alternate Conguration
providing by Windows XP, you can set
both automatic and xed IP addresses
and then you can select to use either of
them to connect to the Internet.

Click Start > Control Panel >
Network and Internet Connections
> Network Connection > Local
Area Connection
by using the right
button of the touch pad and click
Properties.

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
and click Properties.

Select the Alternate Conguration
tab, select User congured and ll in
the elds.

When the setting completes, click OK.
