Connect a LAN cable to the computers LAN port.

Click Start > Control Panel > Network and
Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

Click the Change adapter settings in the left
menu pane.
For Windows Vista
Click Manage Network Connections from the
left pane.

Right-click over the Local Area Connection and
select Properties.
The LAN Device name may differ depending on your
computer’s Network Device.
Wired Network
A wired network is a network environment used for a company network or broadband internet connection at home.
