Set up and use the SmartThings app

you begin

1. Download the SmartThings App
(Google play/ or App Store),
and sign in with your Samsung
account.
2. Connect to a Wi-Fi network on your phone before adding devices.
*Your Wi-Fi must be a 2.4 GHz network,
and must have English letters and numbers in the network name.
*It’s recommended that you turn off mobile data until you’ve completed setup.
With ‘QR code’
Scan the QR code
on the device
you want to add.
From ‘the SmartThings app’
If SmartThings
automatically
found your device,
tap Add now
on the pop-up.
If a pop-up doesn’t appear, there are three ways
you can add your device.
Search for the model name.
Select the device type from the list.
Scan the QR code on the device or scan nearby.
