01 TV Installation Mounting the TV on a wall If you mount this TV on a wall, follow the instructions exactly as set out by the manufacturer. If it is not correctly mounted, the TV may slide or fall and cause serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the TV. ࡞ Refer to the installation manual included with the Samsung wall mount kit. ࡞ You can mount the TV on the wall using a wall mount kit (sold separately).

02 The Samsung Smart Remote About the Buttons on the Samsung Smart Remote ࡞ The images, buttons, and functions of the Samsung Smart Remote may differ depending on the model. ࡞ The Universal Remote function operates normally only when you use the Samsung Smart Remote that comes with the TV. (Power) (Bixby) Press to turn the TV on or off. Runs Bixby. Press and hold the button, say a command, and then release the button to run Bixby.
Pairing the TV to the Samsung Smart Remote When you turn on the TV for the first time, the Samsung Smart Remote pairs to the TV automatically. If the Samsung Smart Remote does not pair to the TV automatically, point it at the remote control sensor of the TV, and then press and hold the buttons labeled and as shown in the figure on the left simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.
03 Initial Setup When you turn on your TV for the first time, it immediately starts the Initial Setup. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen and configure the TV's basic settings to suit your viewing environment. ࡞ To perform the Initial Setup using the SmartThings app, you must connect your mobile device via Wi-Fi.
Setting the sound sensor You can turn on or off the sound sensor by using its button at the bottom of the TV. With the TV on, you can push the button to the left to turn on the sound sensor or to the right to turn off it. See the pop-up window on the TV to check whether the sound sensor is turned on or off. ࡞ The position and shape of the sound sensor may differ depending on the model. ࡞ During analysis using data from the sound sensor, the data is not saved.
04 Troubleshooting and Maintenance Troubleshooting If the TV seems to have a problem, first review this list of possible problems and solutions. Alternatively, review the Troubleshooting or FAQ Section in the e-Manual. If none of the troubleshooting tips apply, please visit "www.samsung. com" and click Support or contact the Samsung service center listed on the back cover of this manual. ࡞ For detailed information on troubleshooting, watch the troubleshooting videos at www.samsung.com/spsn.
The remote control does not work. ࡞ Check if the power indicator at the bottom of the TV blinks when you press the remote's Power button. If it does not, replace the remote control's batteries. ࡞ Make sure that the batteries are installed with their poles (+/–) in the correct direction. ࡞ Try pointing the remote directly at the TV from 5 ft. to 6 ft. (1.5-1.8 m) away. ࡞ If your TV came with a Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth Remote), make sure to pair the remote to the TV.
Video Apps problems (Youtube etc) ࡞ Change the DNS to 8.8.8.8. Select > Settings > General > Network > Network Status > IP Settings > DNS Setting > Enter manually > DNS Server > enter 8.8.8.8 > OK. ࡞ Reset by selecting > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.
Caring for the TV ࡞ If a sticker was attached to the TV screen, some debris can remain after you remove the sticker. Please clean the debris off before watching TV. ࡞ The exterior and screen of the TV can get scratched during cleaning. Be sure to wipe the exterior and screen carefully using a soft cloth to prevent scratches. ࡞ Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the TV. Using the Multi View While watching the TV, you can see content from your mobile device through mirroring (Smart View). This function may not be supported depending on the model. In some models, you can view the image on the camera connected to the SmartThings app of your mobile device. Q-Symphony is not supported by Multi View. When an external device that connects to a receiver or Soundbar is used in Multi View, sound outputs from the TV speaker, not from the receiver or Soundbar.
Connection Cables for External Devices You can view detailed information about the connection cables for external devices that can be connected to the TV. Cable name Image Description Each cable simultaneously transmits digital video and audio signals from an external device to the HDMI port on the TV. HDMI to HDMI Cables are divided into various types according to the types of input/ output ports on external devices.
Cable name DVI to HDMI Optical Image Description DVI to HDMI cables can transmit only digital video signals and not audio signals. We recommend that you use HDMI to HDMI cables. Optical cables are used to transmit audio signals to external speakers with low signal loss. Optical cables do not transmit video signals. Component cables transmit analogue signals. Component The video signal is separated and transmitted to the red, green, and blue terminals to provide HD (1080i) pictures.
Switching between external devices connected to the TV You can switch between TV programs and the content of external devices. Source When you select a connected external device on the Source screen, the output of the selected device is displayed on the TV's screen. To control a device (Blu-ray player, game console, etc.) that supports universal remote control with the TV's remote control, connect the device to an HDMI port on the TV, and then turn on the device.

Connection notes for mobile devices • To use the Smart View function, the mobile device must support a mirroring function such as Screen Mirroring or Smart View. To check whether your mobile device supports the mirroring function, refer to the mobile device's user manual. • To use Wi-Fi Direct, the mobile device must support the Wi-Fi Direct function. To set the detailed options, press the up directional button, and then select Picture Clarity Settings. • Digital Output Audio Format You can select an output format for digital audio.

Ambient Mode You can enhance your living space with decorative content that matches the surroundings or view essential realtime information such as weather, time, and news on the TV screen when you are not watching TV. TTo return to the TV mode, press the button in Ambient Mode. To shut off the TV, press the button. If you use a remote control other than the Samsung Smart Remote, there may be restrictions to entering Ambient Mode. This function may not be supported depending on the model.
7. Universal Guide Universal Guide is an app that allows you to search for and enjoy various content such as TV shows, dramas, and movies in one place. Universal Guide can recommend content tailored to your preferences. You can use this feature on your mobile device with the Samsung SmartThings app. To enjoy the content from these apps on your TV, they must be installed on the TV. When you watch some paid content, you may need to make a payment using their associated app.
Move Remove The image on your TV may differ from the image above depending on the model and geographical area. 8. Moving an item on the Home Screen Move the focus to the app you want to move, press and hold the Select button on the remote control, and then select Move in option menu. Move the app to the desired position by pressing the left or right directional button, and then press the Select button. The selected app is moved on the Home screen.

Using a Samsung account Create and manage your own Samsung account. Settings General System Manager You can view the entire text of the Terms & Policy in My Account Samsung Account Settings General Try Now System Manager Samsung Account Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy after logging in to your Samsung account. You can create a Samsung account at http://account.samsung.com. Once you have an account, you can use the same ID on both the TV and the Samsung website.

Applying effects to the content When you are enjoying content in Ambient Mode, press the down directional button to change the following settings for the content: Available functions may not be supported depending on the content. • Color & Theme Changes the color or theme of the content. • Vibes Selects a mood that matches the content. This function may not be supported depending on the content. • Backgrounds Changes the background of the content.
Viewing detailed information about the content When you are enjoying content in Ambient Mode, press the up directional button to view detailed information about the content. Entering the TV viewing screen from Ambient Mode To enter the TV viewing screen from Ambient Mode, press the browser screen. If you press the button, or select button when the TV is turned off, the TV viewing screen appears.
Using Remote Access Use the TV to access your PC via Remote PC, Screen Sharing (Wireless) or Cloud Service.
