Ringer Type
You can assign ringer types and melody tones for calls, alarms, and other alerts, in
the Ringer Type sub-menu.
Note: In analog mode, the phone plays the Bell 2 ringtone in place of any assigned MP3 or QCP type
ringtones; including the Preloaded ringtone, Bell 1.
Assigning Calls and Alarm Ringer Types
1. In standby mode, press the MENU (left) soft key ( ), then press
(for Settings), (for Sounds), and for Ringer Type. The
following ringer types appear in the display:
Calls
Messages
•Alarm
•Data
Calendar
If assigning ringer types for Calls, use the navigation keys to highlight
Calls, then press the key. The following options appear in the display:
•Preloaded — Lets you select a melody that is included with your phone.
My Melody — Lets you select a melody that was downloaded.
Shuffle — Lets you select multiple melodies. These melodies are played in
random order.
If assigning the Alarm ringer type, use the navigation keys to highlight
Alarm, then press the key. The following Alarm options appear in the
display:
Alarm 1
Alarm 2
Alarm 3
2. Use the navigation keys to highlight Calls, Alarm 1, Alarm 2, or Alarm 3,
then press the key.
3. Use the navigation keys to select Preloaded or My Melody (if you have
downloaded melodies), then press the key.
4. Use the navigation keys to browse through available ring tones. Each tone
plays through the speaker as it is highlighted.
5. When the desired ringer type plays, press the key to save the setting.
