Quick Text — Insert a pre-composed message into the body of your current
message.
6. Select a sound file to include with your message, then press the Down
navigation key.
Press the Option (left) soft key ( ). The following options appear in the
display:
Sounds — Lets you add a preloaded melody or a recorded sound file to your
message.
•Erase — Lets you remove a melody or sound file from your message.
7. Once you’re finished composing your message, press the Next (right) soft
key ( ). The following SEND NEW
options appear in the display:
•Preview — View and play the message as the recipient will see and hear it.
Send Options — Choose the Priority, Validity, whether you wish to have
Delivery Acknowledged, and whether you wish to Defer Delivery of the message.
See “Message Send Options” on page 69 for more information on these
settings.
Save in Draft — Save the message to your Drafts folder.
8. To send your message, press the SEND (left) soft key ( ).
Creating and Sending a Handwritten Message
New Handwr. Msg lets you quickly send handwritten messages as pictures, rather
than using the keypad to enter your message.
1. In standby mode, press the MESSAGE (right) soft key ( ), then press
for New Handwr. Msg. The camera viewfinder screen appears in the
display in Sketch mode (that is, high contrast).
2. Position your handset so that the complete text of the message appears
within the image corners. See “Simple Snap Shot” on page 82 for more
information.
Tip: For best results, write your message on white or light-colored, unruled paper (that is, no lines).
3. Use the Left and Right navigation keys to increase magnification of (“zoom
in on”) the message, as needed.
4. Press the key. “Digitizing...” appears in the display, followed by a
high-contrast picture of your message.
5. If you are satisfied with the picture of your message, press the key to
save the picture and begin delivery process. The New Pic Message
screen then appears in the display with the Send To field highlighted.
