Select the message text input field and use the keypad to
enter the text content of your message. (For more
information, refer to “Entering Text” on page 38.)
Note:
There is a 160-character limit for text messages. If you send a text
message with more than 160 characters, the message is truncated
after the first 160 characters and the remaining characters are then
sent in consecutive messages until the entire message text has been
sent. Charges may apply in accordance with the sender's and the
recipient's calling plans.
6. For additional message options, press the
Menu
soft key.
The following options are available:
Add Recipient
: Add Contacts entries.
Check Names
: Check contacts for the name of the recipient.
•Insert
: Insert a Picture, Sound, or Video file into your message. This
automatically changes a Text message to a Multimedia message.
•My Text
: Add pre-composed text to this message.
Save to Drafts
: Saves the message to the draft folder.
Spell Check
: Spell check your message.
Cancel Message
: Cancels the new message.
•Message Options
: Inactive.
7. Press the
Send
soft key to transmit your message to the
selected recipients.
Spell Checking a Text Message
1. While creating a Text message (see “Creating and Sending
Text Messages” on page 55), press the
Menu
soft key
and
select
Spell Check
.
Words that are not present in the Spell Check dictionary
files are highlighted, and available word choices are
presented in a list.
2. From this list of alternate words, select either:
An alternate word
Ignore
: to ignore the currently selected word.
Ignore All
: to ignore all remaining misspelled words in the text
message.
•Add
: To add the currently highlighted word into the Spell Check’s
dictionary.
3. When the spell check is complete, select to return to
the message.
Note:
The Spell Check feature is not available for Multimedia messages.
