Encryption
1. From the
Today
screen, press the
Start
key ( ) to
activate the Start menu.
2. Select
Settings
()
System
tab
Encryption
()
to open the Encryption screen.
3. To enable encryption of information stored on microSD
storage cards, select the
Encrypt files when placed on a
storage card
check box. A check mark appears in the box.
4. Press or select to save your changes and
return to the previous screen.
Error Reporting
1. From the
Today
screen, press the
Start
key ( ) to
activate the Start menu.
2. Select
Settings
()
System
tab
Error Reporting
( ) to open the Error Reporting screen.
3. Select
Enable error reporting
to let your device collect
operation information and, in the event of an error, pass it
along to Microsoft.
4. Press or select to save your changes and
return to the previous screen.
Note:
Enabling this option may incur data usage charges.
External GPS
1. From the
Today
screen, press the
Start
key ( ) to
activate the Start menu.
2. Select
Settings
()
System
tab
External GPS
( ) to open the GPS Settings screen. The following tabs
are available:
•Programs
:
Lets select the GPS program port that programs on you
phone will use to obtain GPS data.
Hardware
:
Lets you select the
GPS hardware port
to which your
GPS device is connected, and then select the
Baud rate at which
your phone will communicate with the GPS device
.
Access
:
Lets you enable/disable Windows Mobile management of
resident program access to the GPS data by selecting/unselecting
the
Manage GPS automatically
(recommended) check box.
3. Select the desired tab.
4. Select new value(s) for the selected tab, as needed.
5. Press or select to save your new settings and
return to the previous screen.
