Talkback
TalkBack is an Accessibility Service that helps blind and vision-impaired users interact with
their devices more easily by adding spoken, audible, and vibration feedback. When activated,
TalkBack will tell you what you just selected on your screen, letting you know what action was
just performed.
On the Home screen, tap
→
Settings
→
Device
→
Accessibility
→
Talkback and drag
the switch to the right to turn it on.
At the Use Talkback screen, tap OK.
At the Enable Explore by Touch screen, tap OK or Cancel (for more information on Explore by
Touch, see below).
Explore by Touch
Explore by Touch is a feature within Talkback that tells you what you are touching on the
screen before the action is completed.
On the Home screen, tap

→
Device
→
Accessibility
→
Talkback
→
Settings
→
Explore by Touch.
•
As you drag your finger around on the screen or touch areas of the screen, the device
announces the name of apps, widgets and settings that are encountered.
•
To select the announced app, widget or setting, quickly double-tap anywhere on the
screen.
•
To scroll or switch screens, swipe or drag using two fingers.
•
To unlock the lock screen, swipe across the screen with two fingers.
