The power level lets you control the heating intensity from Warm (1) to High (0). A charcoal filter can be used for removing smoke and odors in case the fan is not vented outside. The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. It must be replaced. If the oven is installed on the wall(or cabinet) and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter that helps remove smoke and odors.
