PLAYING BACK VIDEOS
• Thisfunction works only inVideo Play(_}) mode,
• You can find a desiredvideo irrlagequickly usingthe thumbnail indexview.
1. Open the LCD screenand pressthe Power (O) button to turn on the
camcorder.-page 23
• Set theappropriate storagemedia. (SMX-F43/F44only)-page 30
(Ifyou want to playback imageson a memorycard, inserta memory
card.)
2. PresstheMODE button to select thePlay mode.
• The thumbnail indexview appears.Thethumbnailhighlightison the latest
created or playedfile.
3. Selectthe Videothumbnailindex viewscreen.
• You can simplyswitch betweenvideo and photo thumbnailview usingthe
zoom lever.
• Playingtime of the selectedfileand the thumbnailshowing the video
playbackwill appear on the screen.
4. Use the Control joystick(A/T/_/_') to selectthe desired videos,and then
pressthe OK button.
• Ifyou set the Date/TimeDisplaybeforevideo playback,the date/time
appears brieflyforabout a second and then the selectedvideo starts
playing.
• Shortcut menufor playbackwill be displayedfor 3seconds.
• The selectedvideosare playedaccordingto the PlayOption setting.

• Tostepplaybackandreturnto thethumbnailindexview,movethezoomlever.
• Loading time of a video to be played back may become slow depending on the video resolution.
• Video files may not playback on the camcorder in the following cases:
Video files edited or renamed on a PC
Video files recorded by devices other than the camcorder
Video file formats that are supported
• Tile built-in speaker automatically turns off when the Audio/Video cable is connected to tile camcorder. (When
connected to external devices, volume adjustment should be done on the connected external device.)
