Using the HDMI Cable for Media Playback
You can use the Instinct HD’s HDMI cable to view
locally stored media on a compatible HD television
(accessory cable is available separately). The
connection is made from the device to the HDMI port
on the television. The media must be locally stored on
the device and be of a compatible playback type
(page 178).
1. Connect the HDMI connector on the cable to an
open HDMI port on the television.
2. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the
VIDEO OUT jack located on the side of the device.
3. Setup the connected television to select the HDMI
input which is receiving the incoming signal.
4. Press and touch Fun () > TV/Video > My
Videos.
5. Select either the Sideloaded or Camcorder
categories and choose a video to begin playback
on the connected television.
Watching TV
1. Press and touch Fun () > TV/Video > TV.
2. Select from one of the following categories:
䡲 Featured to display a list of featured content as
determined by Sprint.
䡲 Recently Played to display a list of recently
accessed and viewed channels.
䡲 All Channels displays a list of all currently available
channels.
䡲 Live displays a mobile guide listing of currently
available real-time streaming channels.
