Above - then we create a data header question that the operator needs to respond to at the beginning of
each recording, called Valve diameter. DEWESoft automatically assigns it a unique ID - but let’s change it to
“ValveDiam” to make it easier to identify this parameter later. Now you should also dene the TYPE of data
that can be entered: text, integer, or oating number. Since a number is absolutely required here, you should
not allow the operator to enter text, for example! You may also dene the units and color of this channel.
Above - we create a MATH channel that we named ‘Valve_calc’ which will combine these two values and
give you the output that you need to test against!
This particular math channel doesn’t really make any sense: it is just one hypothetical example of how you
can use these variables in DEWESoft.
