Tag ID or data is
different from
expected value
or missing.
Reader software
version.
Program reader with latest
software version release.
Electromagnetic
interference.
Shield or reposition reader
If AC power line
noise in the range of
13.7–15 MHz or
26.5–27.9 MHz is
present, tag reading
functions may be
adversely affected.
Install AC power line filters to
remove the interference.
Tag read failure. Read range
exceeded.
Reader range is 6 inches
(15.24 cm). Reposition reader
or tag.
Tag speed
exceeded.
Slow tag when within range of
reader.
Faulty tag. Verify reader operation with a
known good tag.
