What Is Tongue and Groove? Tongue Groove Tongue refers to the extending ridge beyond the main portion of the slat or stile. Groove refers to the slot cut into the other side of the slat or stile. For best results, carefully folow the instructions in this guide. Glue and other adhesives are not required, and we do not recommend their use. 1. Attach A1 (Side Stile Left) and A2 (Side Stile Right)to B2 （ Bottom Rail ）by inserting the groove into the tongues of B2.

2. Insert the two G(Wood Plug) into the ends of the A3(Middle Stile Right). Then attach A3 to the hole in the middle of B2. A3 A1 A2 B2 3. 4. Attach B1(Top Rail）to A1 and A2 by inserting the tongues into the groove of A1&A2, and fasten B1 with A1 and A2 with four D(carriage bolts). A. B.
