Spread may be changing accordingly: BANDS FM LW MW SW AM USB/LSB STEP Fast 100 KHz 9 KHz 9/10 KHz 5 KHz 1 KHz Slow 50 KHz 1 KHz 1 KHz 40 Hz 1 KHz AUTO/MANUAL SCAN TUNING To start Auto Scan Tuning select band to tune and press one of the tuning buttons (10) for more then 1/2 second. Once scan starts release button. The Auto Scan stops as soon as a station of adequate signal strength is located.

ANT-60 PORTABLE SW ANTENNA Included with the ATS-909 is the Sangean ANT-60 Portable SW Antenna. The antenna is plugged into jack (26) labeled EXT AM ANT. When fully extended this antenna should improve SW reception. For maximum performance this antenna should be placed as high as possible above the ground and in an unobstructed area if possible. MW STEP (36) This switch should be set for 10 kHz when listening to radio stations in the United States and Canada.
