PROPER CARE AND CLEANING Appliance should be cleaned after every use. 1. Unplug appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning, 2. ABOUT THE RICE AND WATER CHART © Rice and water quantities in the chart are based on using the plastic rice measuring cup included with the rice cooker. If the rice measuring cup is lost or damage, a standard dry measuring cup can be used. The rice cup is equal to standard 3/4 cup dry measure. See page 15 for conversion of rice measuring cup to standard measuring cup. ® Approximate rice yield is based on the standard dry cup measure.
TIPS FOR COOKING RICE » Evenly distribute rice in bottom of inner pot to ensure even cooking. o If softer rice is preferred, let rice soak in measured water 30 minutes before cooking. For brown rice, let rice soak 60 minutes before cooking, firmer rice is preferred, slightly decrease water used in cooking. o A thin crust of rice may form on the bottom of inner pot after cooking. This is normal and can be removed by allowing the cooled inner pot to soak in hot water.
