- When a file is divided, the division point may be displaced a little
in either direction from the designated position.
- A file cannot be divided in the following cases.
- Insufficient available space in the SD card.
- The number of files has reached the upper limit.
- Division at the beginning of the file is attempted.
- File in the "
" folder.
- The SD card is locked.

Example: File 001M_090101_1631.MP3 is divided.

Before division
File is divided.
File name is
automatically
changed.
After division
If file 001M_090101_1631.MP3 is divided, file 002M_090101_1631.MP3 is created.
If a file of the same file number exists already in the folder, the file created at the
division takes precedence and the name of the former file is changed.
For example, if file 001M_090101_1631.MP3 is divided, 001M_090101_1631.MP3
and 002M_090101_1631.MP3 are created and 002M_090225_1210.MP3 that has
existed in the folder is changed to 003M_090225_1210.MP3.
- There is a small portion of overlap that occurs at the point where the two files
are divided.
The file overlap time and the recording time required for file division are
shown in the table below.
