Setting Power On to Alert
The alert will not sound when your phone is turned off, but 
Power On to Alert turns your phone on in Airplane Mode to alert
you even if your phone is turned off. This feature applies only to
schedule or call alarm events, or the alarm clock.
1. Press > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > 
Power On to Alert .
2. Select On or Off .
Security Settings
All of your phone’s security settings are available through the
Security menu.
Accessing the Security Menu
1. Press > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Security .
2. Enter your lock code to display the Security menu.
Your Phone’s Lock Feature
Locking Your Phone
When your phone is locked, you can only receive incoming calls
or make calls to 911, Boost Customer Care, or special numbers.
(See “Special Numbers” on page 38.)
1. Press > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Security > 
Lock My Phone > Lock Now .
䡲 On Power-up to lock your phone whenever it is turned on.
2. Select Full Lock or Excp. Incom. Calls .
䡲 Full Lock to lock your phone but still receive incoming calls
from special numbers.
䡲 Excp. Incom. Calls to lock your phone but still receive all
incoming calls.
Unlocking Your Phone
1. From standby mode, press UNLOCK (left softkey).
2. Enter your lock code.
Tip
If you can’t recall your lock code, try using the last four digits of
your wireless phone number.
