Resetting Your Phone and Deleting Stored
Data
This option lets you clear different types of personal information
stored on your phone, reset your phone to factory settings, or both.
1. Press
> Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Security >
Delete/Reset
.
2. Highlight an option and press .
Reset Browser
to clear your Web browser’s history,
bookmarks, cookies, error log, auto-complete text, and URLs.
Reset Media Mail
to clear your authentication ID for your
Media Mail account.
Reset All Settings
to restore all the factory default settings.
Contacts, history, calendar, and messages are not affected.
Reset Phone
to reset all settings and delete all data on your phone.
3. Read the disclaimer and press .
4. If you are certain that you would like to delete data stored on
your phone, press
YES
(left softkey).
Security Features for Data Services
Disabling Data Services
You can disable data services without turning off your phone;
however, you will not have access to all data services, including
Web and messaging. Disabling data services will avoid any
charges associated with these services. While signed out, you
can still place or receive phone calls, check voicemail, and use
other voice services. You may enable data services again at any
time.
To disable data services:
1. Press
> Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Data >
Disable Data
.
2. Read the disclaimer and press
DISABLE
(right softkey) to sign
out.
To enable data services:
Press
> Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Data >
Enable Data
.
