If a conflict that prevents recording is found when the tape management function checks the tape data, the (TAPE MANAGEMENT) menu appears with the conflicting setting flashing and the VCR go into the stop mode. If “WARNING” in the (BUZZER SET) menu is set to “Y”, the buzzer is heard.

NOTES: œ During alarm recording all buttons are disabled. œ If “OFF” appears on the digital display, alarm recording is not possible in order to prevent the recorded tape to be recorded over. To cancel the “OFF” display, press the STOP, EJECT, FF, REW or PLAY button.

Operation The output signal at the SERIES OUT terminal will be present either at the point when the counter reading is 8:00:00 or when VCR No. 1 reaches the end of the tape, whichever is first. Series Recording Setup œ Connect 2 VCRs or more as illustrated below.

Sept., 10/2002 PLAYBACK Normal Playback Picture Search (Forward and Reverse) 1 Turn on the power to the VCR and TV monitor. 2 Load the video cassette tape. 3 Press the PLAY button. 1 Press the FF (or REW) button, during normal playback. ø The image can be seen while the tape is advanced (or rewound) at high speed. ø Playback starts. 2 To return to normal playback, press the PLAY button. ø If necessary, adjust the tracking to eliminate the noise from the picture.

Sept., 10/2002 DAY/TIME SEARCH Day/Time Search NOTES: This searches for a specified day/time for still images to be played back. œ If the end of the tape is reached during a search, the tape will rewind and stop. If the beginning of the tape is reached, it will stop. 1 Press the SEARCH button three times during stop œ The alarm and day/time data are recorded on the tape in a similar format. If they overlap, the alarm data will have the priority.

The buzzer may also be heard depending on the settings for “THREAD CHECK” and “VIDEO LOSS” in the (GENERAL SET) menu, and “VIDEO LOSS” in the (WARNING OUT/EJECT SET) menu. To stop the buzzer, press the STOP button twice.

If there is noise in the playback picture, and it cannot be corrected using the tracking control, it may indicated that the video heads need cleaning.
