This VCR was primarily designed for use with E-180 cassette tapes, it is recommended to use E-180 standard grade VHS video cassette tapes for optimal performance. Sept., 29/2000 VIDEO CASSETTE TAPES Correct tape thread check function If the correct tape thread check function is on, after the cassette tape is loaded, a mechanism will operate for about 5 seconds to check that the tape has been threaded (loaded) correctly and the cassette indicator “o” will blink during that period. If the tape is not loaded properly, the cassette will be ejected. NOTES: œ This function checks to make sure that the cassette has been correctly loaded.
