Shaft Systems
MagniShaft or UniShaft
DT 820 is available with
two different Shaft sys-
tems:
1.) MagniShaft for magnet-
ic connection between
stirring element and
drive or
2.) UniShaft for screw
connection.
Both systems comprise of an upper Shaft (in-
side the drive head) and a lower shaft to which
the paddle or basket holder, transdermal cylin-
der (only UniShaft) or Intrinsic Dissolution Kit
(only UniShaft) is connected.
While MagniShaft is only available for Low-
Head use UniShaft system can be ordered for
both, Low-Head and High-Head use.
MagniShaft is made for simultaneous test start
while at UniShaft system the test start can be
performed simultaneous or staggered.
While the upper shaft is generally made from
stainless steel the lower parts is mould from
Teflon with an integrated stainless steel core.
On special request stainless steel stirring ele-
ments are available.
All parts are numbered and optionally come
with a certificate of USP/EP compliance.
