Leak Test Kit
All impactors should be periodically tested to
check that there is no external leakage. Exces-
sive leakage of air from an impactor can result
in the incorrect flow rate being achieved, poor
aerodynamic performance and possible loss of
drug.
Leak testing is a simple and effective means of
checking that all the impactor components are
assembled correctly and that there is no critical
wear associated with the inter-stage seals.
The Leak Test Kit provides a fast and effective
means of running a health check on the impac-
tor. Simply connect the leak check system be-
tween a suitable vacuum pump and the impac-
tor - the leak test takes approx. 60 seconds.
