Calibration and Adjustment
User Manual for Secura, Quintix, Practum
Calibration/Adjustment using an
External Calibration Weight
An external calibration weight is required for this function.
Please note the tolerance of the calibration weight being used.
In verified balances with accuracy class K, external calibration/adjustment is
locked when the balances are used for legal metrology.

and Quintix
®
: In verified balances with accuracy class k, external
adjustment can only be accessed when the access switch is open.
t Make sure that the weighing pan is empty.
t Select A to zero the balance.
t Select the Menu key at the bottom left of the display in the current application.

t Select the CAL button to access the calibration function.

y The Calibrate balance window appears.
t Select CAL-Extern.

models: Calibration weight values appear in the display.
t Select the value for your calibration weight.
y A message appears on the display, prompting the user to place the calibration
weight on the weighing pan.
t Place the calibration weight on the weighing pan.
y Calibration begins automatically.

Report
y A report appears on the display (Secura

and Quintix

only).
The report indicates the deviations identified during calibration. The report also
gives the result of the adjustment process.
t Select < to close the report window.
y The balance is now calibrated and adjusted.
