Information and Applicability
The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) for chemicals are not applicable to manufactured articles such as lamps.
No material contained in a lamp is released during normal use and operation.
The following information is provided as a service to our customers. This Lamp Material
Information Sheet contains the Material Safety Data Sheet information that is applicable.

lamps for general lighting applications.

SECTION 2: LAMP MATERIALS AND HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS
Glass
These Double-ended or Pin-based Halogen lamps are composed of a quartz glass envelope
surrounding a tungsten wire filament. The bulb contains iodine or bromine halogen gas.
Metals
Double-ended or Pin-based Halogen lamps are manufactured with a ceramic base at both ends
(Double-ended) or at one end (Pin-based), which is secured in place by high-temperature
cement. The quartz glass envelope may be clear or diffused in appearance. In addition to the
tungsten lamp filament, Double-ended or Pin-based Halogen lamps are manufactured using
support wires made from molybdenum, copper, iron, and/or nickel for electrical connections.
