the Smart Trigger iOS app. It can be found on the Smart
Trigger product page at www.satechi.net, in the app store
by searching “Smart Trigger,” or by scanning the QR code
on the Smart Trigger packaging. Once the app is installed,
in your iOS device turn Bluetooth “on.” Regular Shot (I): This mode turns your iOS device into
a wireless remote shutter. Touch the shutter control
button to capture a picture perfect for including the
photographer in group shots. While using your camera
in Bulb Mode, you can hold the shutter control button to
hold the shutter open.
Manual Shot (II): Manual Shot allows you to lock the
shutter open and take long exposures while in Bulb
Mode. Use Manual Shot for long-exposure photography
techniques like star trails and light painting.
Timed Shot (III): This mode turns your iOS device into
an intervalometer. The intervalometer’s settings can
be adjusted to take sequences of photos, and is most
commonly used in time-lapse photography. Please
note that your camera must be in Bulb Mode to control
exposure time in Timed Shot.
