Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid DRIVING YOUR HYBRID Your AURA Hybrid accelerates, shifts and brakes just like a regular vehicle, but it has several fuel-saving features that increase vehicle efficiency and maximize fuel economy. The hybrid features of your vehicle are enabled after the engine warms up to proper operating temperature. While driving, when you apply the brake and come to a complete stop, the automatic engine start/stop feature may turn off the engine.

eco Light The eco light located above the fuel gauge illuminates when vehicle fuel efficiency is maximized. The eco light will begin operation only after the engine has warmed up. To disable the eco light feature: 1. With the engine off, turn the key to On. 2. Press the INFO (Information) button to display the outside temperature and odometer on the DIC. 3. Press and hold the (Reset) button for several seconds. 4. The eco light will flash several times and then turn off.

Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid During an Auto Stop, all of the regular vehicle features are available, such as power steering and brakes, the audio system and power accessories. Your AURA Hybrid also features a hill start assist system that will help hold the vehicle when the brakes are released after stopping on an incline with the engine off in Auto Stop mode. Upon brake pedal release, the vehicle may roll backward slightly until the engine is restarted.

Charge/Assist Gauge The amount of charge flowing into and out of the vehicle’s hybrid battery is displayed on the Charge/Assist gauge on the instrument panel cluster. Under normal driving conditions, the gauge needle should be centered between Charge and Assist or slightly in the Assist range. When the electric motor is assisting the engine, such as during maximum acceleration, the gauge needle will move into the Assist range.

(Reset): Press this button to reset DIC information while it is displayed, select a personalization feature setting, or acknowledge a warning message. Vehicle Feature Personalization A variety of your vehicle’s features can be personalized to your preference. To personalize features: 1. Turn on the ignition with the vehicle in Park. (Access to the personalization features, except Units, is not available while the vehicle is moving.) 2.

Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid SAFETY & SECURITY Remote Keyless Entry The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter allows you to lock and unlock your vehicle and perform other functions from up to 196 feet (60 meters) away from the vehicle. RKE functions include: (Lock): Press this button to lock all the doors. RKE feedback (light flash and/or horn chirp) can be programmed using the DIC. (Unlock): Press this button to unlock the driver’s door.

Adjusting Lumbar Support (if equipped) COMFORT Seat Adjustments Adjusting the Manual Seat • To adjust the position of the seat, lift the bar located under the front of the seat to unlock it. Slide the seat to the desired position and release the bar. Try to move the seat with your body to be sure the seat is locked in place. • To adjust the position of the seatback, lift the recline lever on the outboard side of the seat. Move the seatback to the desired position and release the lever.

Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid Shoulder Belt Height Adjustment The shoulder belt can be adjusted to the height that is right for you. To move the height adjuster up or down, squeeze the buttons on the sides of the height adjuster and move it to the desired position. See Section 1 of your Owner Manual. Climate Controls Your AURA Hybrid has a climate control system that is intuitive and easy to use. • The large left knob controls the fan speed.

ENTERTAINMENT Audio System Features While most of the features on your radio will look familiar, some of the following may be new: (Power/Volume): Press this knob to turn the system on or off. Turn the knob to adjust the volume. (Information): Press this button to display additional information related to the current FM-RDS station or MP3 song. (Tune): Turn this knob to select radio stations or, when a CD is playing, to select a track or MP3 file.

Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid To set the number of favorite station pages: 1. Press the MENU button to display the radio setup menu. 2. Press the pushbutton located below the FAV 1–6 label on the radio display. 3. Select the desired number of favorite station pages. 4. Press the FAV button. You may now begin storing your favorite stations for the chosen number of pages. To store favorite stations: 1. Tune in the desired radio station. 2.

RDS features are available for use only on FM stations that broadcast RDS information. RDS relies on receiving specific information from these stations and will work only when the information is available. See Section 3 of your Owner Manual. Audio Steering Wheel Controls (if equipped) The following audio controls are located on the steering wheel: + – (Volume): Press the plus or minus button to increase or decrease the volume.

Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid Automatic Headlamp System Your vehicle is equipped with an Automatic Headlamp System, which turns on the Daytime Running Lamps in the daytime and the headlamps and other exterior lamps at night or when necessary. The system uses a light sensor, located on top of the instrument panel, to determine light conditions. For proper operation, avoid placing any objects on or near the sensor.

Express Power Windows The power window switches are located on the driver’s door armrest. In addition, each passenger door has a switch for its own window. Express-Down Window The driver’s window express-down switch is labeled AUTO. Press the switch partway and the driver’s window will open a small amount. Press the switch completely and the window will go all the way down automatically. To stop the window while it is lowering, pull up or press down briefly on the switch.

Getting to Know Your AURA Green Line Hybrid PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE Refueling the Vehicle To open the fuel door, press the center of the rear edge of the door and it will pop open slightly. Pull the door to open it fully. When closing the fuel door, press the center of the rear edge of the door until it is flush with the side of the vehicle. See Section 5 of your Owner Manual. Traction Control System The Traction Control System turns on every time you start your vehicle.

the proper tire pressure (just as you must refuel the vehicle when the low fuel warning light illuminates). The Tire and Loading Information label shows the correct tire pressure for the tires when they’re cold. “Cold” means your vehicle has been sitting for at least three hours or driven no more than one mile. You can temporarily clear the DIC message by acknowledging it with your DIC controls.
