Step 2 å Fasten the CABINET RIGHT (40CA) and CABINET LEFT (40CB) to the ENDS (A2 and B2). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #1 and #4. å Fasten the ROD HANGERS (7A) to the ENDS (A2 and B2). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). Remember: Righty tighty. Lefty loosey.
Step 3 å å Open the FURNITURE TIPPING RESTRAINT KIT (97) and fasten the SAFETY STRAP to the TOP (C2). Use the provided BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW. How to use the SAUDER TWIST-LOCK® FASTENER 1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the hole of the adjoining part. Fasten the LEFT END (B2) to the TOP (C2) and SHELF (F). Tighten four TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS. NOTE: The dowel end of the FASTENER must remain fully inserted in the hole of the adjoining part while locking the FASTENER. 2.

Step 6 å Slide the FEET (31E and 32E) into the notches in the SKIRTS (J and K). å Use a hammer to drive a PROPEL NUT (14M) into the holes in the FEET (31E and 32E). Now, turn an ADJUSTABLE GLIDE (18E) into each PROPEL NUT. 18E (4 used) 14M 32E 31E K J 32E 31E K www.sauder.

Step 8 å å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. å Unfold the BACK (E) and lay it over your unit. Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (E). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å å Fasten the BACK (E) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). å Fasten the BALLASTS (VV and WW) to the BOTTOM (D3). Use two BLACK 3" PAN HEAD SCREWS (84S).
Step 9 å Fasten three HINGES (13H) to each DOOR (H). Use twelve BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (11S). 11S BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREW (12 used in this step) 13H H H 13H Page 14 411312 www.sauder.
Step 10 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å Fasten a DOOR (H) to the LEFT END (B2). Use the screws in the HINGES. See the next step for adjustments. å Fasten a LARGE PULL (97K) to the DOOR (H). Use two BLACK 7/8" MACHINE SCREWS (37S). å Repeat this step for the other door. Pro Tip: Lift with your legs. And, you know, your arms. Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the right diagram.
Step 11 å å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å DOOR ADJUSTMENTS: To adjust the DOORS from side to side (horizontal), turn the adjusting screw in or out. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws. Move the DOORS up or down to the desired location. Tighten the screws after making adjustments. å To adjust the DOORS in or out (depth), loosen the mounting screw one turn and move the DOORS in or out, as needed.
Step 12 å å Turn a CAM SCREW (8F) into the DRAWER FRONT (L). Push a HIDDEN CAM (1F) into the DRAWER BRACE (M65). 8F L M65 Arrow Arrow Hole 1F The arrow in the HIDDEN CAM must point toward the hole in the edge of the board. www.sauder.

Step 14 å å Fasten the DRAWER RIGHT (40CC) and DRAWER LEFT (40CD) to the DRAWER SIDES (D50 and D51). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #2 and #4. Almost time to celebrate! With a nap. Fasten the PULL (34K) to the DRAWER FRONT (L). Step 15 å å Place your unit into its final position against a wall. å å Set the ROD (21A) onto the ROD HANGERS on the ENDS (A2 and B2). å To make adjustments to the drawer, loosen the SCREWS in the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS, make needed adjustments, and tighten the SCREWS. Push the RUBBER SLEEVES (2R) over the METAL PINS (1R). Insert the METAL PINS into the hole locations of your choice in the ENDS (A2 and B2). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELF (I) onto the METAL PINS.
Step 16 å å We recommend using the SAFETY STRAP for added stability. å INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Insert the SAFETY DRYWALL ANCHOR through the WASHER and the end of the SAFETY STRAP. 2. Using a Phillips screwdriver or a hand drill, press the screw slightly onto the drywall. 3. Apply pressure; turn the screw until a pilot hole is made and the nylon sheath slips through. 4. Turn the screw until it is flush against the wall and you feel a firm resistance. 5.
Step 17 å NOTE: To raise a corner of the unit, turn the ADJUSTABLE GLIDE counter-clockwise. To lower a corner, turn the ADJUSTABLE GLIDE clockwise. å å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly.
