Step 2 å å å First, fill the two outside holes in a DOOR MOLDING (N) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE (54M). Then, insert two WOOD DOWELS (26F) into the holes. Wipe away the excess GLUE. Remember: Righty tighty. Lefty loosey. Turn two CAM SCREWS (8F) into the DOOR MOLDING (N). Repeat this step for the remaining DOOR MOLDINGS. (8 used) 26F 54M N (8 used) 8F www.sauder.
Step 3 å 1. Fill two outside holes in one of the DOORS (H) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE (54M). Fasten a DOOR MOLDING (N) to the end of the DOOR (H) which you dropped glue into. Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. å NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS insert into the holes. Wipe away the excess GLUE. å NOTE: Be sure all angled edges on the DOOR MOLDINGS (N) are facing the floor as shown in the enlarged diagram. å 2-4. Repeat this step gluing and fastening the remaining DOOR MOLDINGS (N) to the DOORS (H).
Step 4 å Place the HINGE SPACERS (22H) over the large holes in the DOORS (H). å Fasten the HINGES (14H) to the DOORS (H). Use twelve SILVER 5/8" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (23S). 23S SILVER 5/8" FLAT HEAD SCREW (12 used in this step) 14H 22H H H 14H 22H www.sauder.
Step 5 å Push twenty HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the ENDS (A and B), UPRIGHT (C), TOP (E), and BOTTOM (F). Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM except in the ENDS (A and B) and UPRIGHT (C). Use seven BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å NOTE: Be sure the BRACKETS are even with the long edges of ENDS, TOP, and BOTTOM. Step 10 å Fasten the TOP MOLDING (M) to the TOP (E) and ENDS (A and B). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten two TIE PLATES/DOOR STOPS (3G) to the BASE (L). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten the BASE (L) to the BOTTOM (F). Use three BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). Step 11 å å Unfold the BACK (G) and lay it over your unit. å å Fasten the BACK (G) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). Now might be a good time to refresh your drink. Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (G). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". NOTE: Be sure to tap NAILS into the holes that line up over the UPRIGHT (C). Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse.
Step 12 å Fasten two TIE PLATES/DOOR STOPS (3G) to the CENTER MOLDNG (O). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Push two LARGE RUBBER SLEEVES (59G) over the ends of the TIE PLATES/DOOR STOPS (3G). å DOORS OPEN LEFT/RIGHT Turn twenty CAM SCREWS (8F) into the LEGS (J and K) and CENTER MOLDING (O). Step 13 å Flip your unit onto its BACK. Fasten the RIGHT LEG (J) to the RIGHT END (A) and the LEFT LEG (K) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten eight HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the CENTER MOLDING (O) to the UPRIGHT (C). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the BASE (L) to the LEGS (J and K). Turn two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S) through the DOOR STOP/TIE PLATES (3G). å Tighten the screws that hold the BASE (L) to the METAL BRACKETS on the BOTTOM (F).
Step 14 å NOTE: The HINGE UPRIGHTS (D) have locator holes near the top edges as shown. å Push four HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the surface with the locator hole and push four HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the opposite surface of the locator hole in the HINGE UPRIGHTS (D). å DOORS OPEN LEFT/RIGHT NOTE: The HINGE UPRIGHTS (D) are now called LEFT HINGE UPRIGHT (D) and RIGHT HINGE UPRIGHT (D). Step 15 å Fasten the RIGHT HINGE UPRIGHT (D) to the RIGHT LEG (J) and fasten the LEFT HINGE UPRIGHT (D) to the LEFT LEG (K). Tighten eight HIDDEN CAMS. å NOTE: The locator holes in the HINGE UPRIGHTS (D) are near the TOP MOLDING (M). å DOORS OPEN LEFT/RIGHT Fasten the HINGE UPRIGHTS (D) to the TOP (E) and BOTTOM (F). Step 16 å Fasten the TIE PLATES/DOOR STOPS (3G) to the CENTER MOLDNG (O) and LEFT LEG (K). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Push two LARGE RUBBER SLEEVES (59G) over the ends of the TIE PLATES/DOOR STOPS (3G). å Turn twenty CAM SCREWS (8F) into the LEGS (J and K) and CENTER MOLDING (O). Step 24 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å Fasten the DOOR (H) to the HINGE UPRIGHT (D) as shown in the lower diagram. Use the screws in the HINGES. You should start each SCREW a few turns before completely tightening any of them. Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the diagram. If it isn't, loosen the mounting screw to slide it against the stops. Then tighten the mounting screw. å Fasten a PULL (53K) to the DOOR (H).
Step 25 å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å The DOORS may need some adjustments. Follow the text below to make needed adjustments. å DOOR ADJUSTMENTS: To adjust the DOORS from side to side (horizontal), turn the adjusting screw in or out. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws. Move the DOORS up or down to the desired location. Tighten the screws after making adjustments.
Step 26 å We recommend using the SAFETY BRACKET (1G) for added stability. Use a BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (1S) into the top of the unit and a BLACK 1-7/8" FLAT HEAD SCREW (2S) into a stud in your wall. Step 27 å å Push a CAM COVER (13P) onto each HIDDEN CAM. å å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. Push the RUBBER SLEEVES (2R) over the METAL PINS (1R). Insert the METAL PINS into the hole locations of your choice in the ENDS (A and B) and UPRIGHT (C). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELVES (I) onto the METAL PINS. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry.
