Step 5 å å Carefully turn your ENDS (A and B) over. å Slide the END MOLDINGS (M and N) onto the ENDS (A and B) until they are against the FRONT LEGS (I and J). Line up the grooves in the MOLDINGS over the heads of the SCREWS in the ENDS. Turn eight BLACK 9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (32S) into the ENDS (A and B) until the shoulders of the SCREWS rest on the surfaces of the ENDS.
Step 6 å Fasten the REAR LEGS (K) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four BLACK 2-1/4" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (26S). å NOTE: You should start each SCREW a few turns before completely tightening any of them. Step 10 å Separate the EXTENSION SLIDES (P) from the EXTENSION RAILS (O) as shown in the upper diagram. Be prepared, the parts are greasy. å Fasten the EXTENSION RAILS (O) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S). å NOTE: For each EXTENSION RAIL, turn a SCREW into the hole shown in the enlarged diagram. Then, slide the inner cartridge of the EXTENSION RAIL in to find the other hole that lines up with the hole in the END. Turn a SCREW into this hole.
Step 11 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Lay the BACK (F) over your unit. å Make equal margins along both side and bottom edges of the BACK (F). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å Fasten the BACK (F) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). å NOTE: Perforations have been provided for access through the BACK. Carefully cut out the holes needed. NOTE: Be sure to tap NAILS into the holes that line up over the upper SHELF/BOTTOM (D).
Step 12 å å Push a FOOT (38E) over the bottom edge of each LEG (I, J, and K). Now might be a good time to refresh your drink. With a hammer, gently tap a TACK GLIDE (12E) through the holes of the FEET (38E). 38E K K J 38E I 12E Page 16 420422 www.sauder.
Step 13 å Fasten the PULL-OUT MOLDING (L) to the PULL-OUT SHELF (E). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the EXTENSION SLIDES (P) to the PULL-OUT SHELF (E). Step 16 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the right diagram. If it isn't, loosen the mounting screw to slide it against the stops. Then tighten the mounting screw. å å Fasten the DOOR (G) to the RIGHT END (A). Use the screws in the HINGES. å Push the DOOR STOP (4I) into the hole on the SHELF/BOTTOM (D). Stop Mounting screw Fasten a KNOB/BACKPLATE (130K) to the DOOR (G).
Step 17 å å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å å DOOR ADJUSTMENTS: å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws. Move the DOORS up or down to the desired location. Tighten the screws after making adjustments. å To adjust the DOORS in or out (depth), loosen the mounting screw one turn and move the DOORS in or out, as needed. Tighten the mounting screw after making adjustments. The DOORS may need some adjustments.
Step 18 å å Push the RUBBER SLEEVES (2R) over the METAL PINS (1R). Insert the METAL PINS into the hole locations of your choice in the ENDS (A and B). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELF (H) onto the METAL PINS. If you're doing this to help a friend, don't leave without a bite. To insert the PULL-OUT SHELF into your unit, line up the EXTENSION SLIDES on the SHELF with the EXTENSION RAILS on the unit and push the SHELF into the unit until the SHELF is fully inserted.
Step 19 å å å Push a CAM COVER (12P) onto each visible HIDDEN CAM. NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry.
