Quick Reference Terminology Standby Mode - The mode your phone is in when you’re not on a call. The phone is ready to accept a new action. Talk Mode - The mode your phone is in when you’re on a call. Some of the Soft Keys will not be available when in this mode. Soft Keys - Soft Keys appear on the LCD screen of the handsets directly below the LCD. The functions of these keys change based on the mode (standby or talk) or menu.
